Prince Alexander Obolensky was born on 17 February 1916 in St Petersburg. He played rugby four times for England scoring 2 tries on his debut against the All Blacks in 1936 helping England secure victory against the All Blacks for the first time by 13 points to nil. Obo or The Flying Prince as he was known played for Oxford University, Leicester and Rosslyn Park.
The Prince Obolensky Association commemorates the memory of Prince Obolensky and through his link with Rosslyn Park, the association commemorates the great rugby tradition of Park, one of England's oldest rugby clubs.
The Association holds an annual dinner in the Spring and raises funds throughout the year to support Rosslyn Park.
